I AM TRYING TO REGISTER MY PRODUCT TO NO AVAIL. I’VE CUT, I’VE PASTED, I HAVE CONTACTED YOU PEOPLE, AGAIN TO NO AVAIL. I BOUGHT THE PRODUCT IN APRIL AND BY NOW I AM PRETTY FED UP. CUSTOMER SERVICE SHOULD BE MORE AVAILABLE, HELPFUL, AND I SHOILD GET MY MONEY’s WORTH. THANK YOU.

Not my problem but you lose business customers like myself goinfg down the cheap default of self searching for issues, as an IT Consultant I can advise up to 90% will never have the choice they want and will leave damaging the reputation of the business.

Hi both, product registration creates a file in the CCleaner root directory, which is typically Program Files. Writing to this directory requires Administrator access, so please ensure you are logged in as an Administrator to do this.

In the short-term, we are improving the message here so it’s clear that you need to be using the Windows Admin account to register.

In the medium-term, we will look into storing these files in a different way so that Administrator access isn’t required for license registration.
