It’s not the straightforward. To add new applications we first do an evaluation to determine if the application is secure enough for CCleaner to redistribute it (if it’s not, we won’t risk introducing a vulnerability in our system or our users’). Next we need to set up a tracker to detect update changes as they occur, store the software on our secure servers, record the silent install parameters (they’re different for different configurations) so the user can install it ‘automagically’, and a few other things.
The process is just a click for the user but there’s quite a lot going on behind the scenes to keep it secure and reliable. I’ll definitely look into your suggestions, though! Keep them coming!
